IBS SOLUTIONS EMERGE AT KAZAKHSTAN FILLING STATIONS MARKET
IBS declares completion of the first stage of the project involving automation of the gas filling stations chain operated by Arna Petroleum, a Kazakhstan-based company.
The company's headquarters in Chimkent, the distribution warehouse and the first filling station in Almaty, plus the filling station in the settlement of Kurdai were automated during the first stage of the project.
The filling stations, the headquarters and the warehouse were fitted with IBS GAS system. The above locations communicate via modems and Internet. IBM SurePOS 300 terminals equipped with fiscal registers are also installed at the filling stations. The terminals do not only function as registry points for sales of fuel and goods available in the shops attached to the filling stations but also operate the fuel pumps.
Use of IBS GAS allowed IBS to solve the following tasks set by Arna Petroleum:
- Automating control of fuel, goods and services purchase and release;
- Tracking inventories at the filling stations and the distribution warehouse;
- Registering sales of goods, services and fuel at POSs;
- Planning the goods assortment policy;
- Controlling the price policy;
- Optimization of oil products and accessories ordering;
- Setting up tracking and reporting system;
- Information support for accounting;
- Development of replication technology to be used throughout the filling stations chain.
Business processes at the filling stations, the warehouse and the headquarters were also optimized, which makes it possible to replicate the solution at the rest of the chain's filling stations during future stages of the project, with minimum expense of time and finances.
