One of the key tasks in building an effective corporate information system is automating corporate document flow as an integral part of a document management system (DMS).

As a company grows, very often its complex organizational structure and geographically distributed network of branches and divisions significantly complicate the DMS process. Given the large volume and complicated paths of documents, document flows relying on traditional facilities become tangled, increasing periods required to prepare, amend or otherwise deal with documents. DMS automation would be a logical step forward under these conditions.

In developing and implementing corporate document flow systems, IBS uses industrial document management platforms from EMC Documentum or Hummingbird and systems for bulk input, scanning and recognition of documents (Kofax Ascent Capture and Fine Reader).

The solution offered can integrate data within an ERP system, with information coming from standard ERP documents, business partner data warehouses and standard system directories.

Implementation of an integrated solution saves time spent by the customer’s employees searching for isolated fragments of information and documents in heterogeneous systems, allowing them to handle corporate information in a more productive and efficient manner.
