April 13, 2009. IBS has created a new functional subdivision, the Department of Oracle business applications and technologies. Oleg Garankin has been appointed the Department’s Director.
IBS Borlas (an IBS member-company that specialises in the development of management systems on the basis of Oracle software products) has completed a reorganisation project and consolidated four of its former subdivisions: the Department of consulting projects, the Department of integration projects, the Technical Support Centre, and the Training and Consulting Centre.
The new subdivision – the Department of Oracle business applications and technologies – has brought together the entire team of the IBS consultants specialising in Oracle products and technologies. Oleg Garankin, the former head of the IBS Borlas Technical Support Centre, has been appointed the Department’s Director.
According to Alexey Ananyin, the IBS President, “The consolidation of all practices that previously worked with Oracle products and technologies into a single structure will enable us to put together a “shock alignment” in this direction, if one were to use military terminology. The main goal of the new division is to ensure that we provide our clients with comprehensive and high quality solutions, including consulting, deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite applications, integration of IT-systems, user training, and support and development of corporate management systems. Furthermore, even though we believe our Oracle consulting team to be the strongest on the market, we do strive to constantly strengthen its human and professional potential”.
Alexey Ananyin had the following to say about the head of the new department: “Oleg Anatolyevich Garankin underwent serious professional training at the time when our company was developing its business providing technical support to Oracle software users. Today, it is one of the company’s most successful divisions. His experience will be useful as we continue to improve our organisational structure, coordinate our labour and technological resources within the framework of the new department, develop long-term relationships with our current clients, and further expand our clientele”.
Personal information:
Oleg Garankin graduated from the Tashkent State Technical University where he specialised in “Automation of management systems”. In 1994-1996 he served as the Senior State Tax Inspector at the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 1996-1997 he was the head of the Development and Support Department of the Information Technologies Research Centre of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent). In 1997-2000 he served as an instructor and in 2001-2006 – as a technical support analyst of the Oracle representative office in CIS (Moscow). In 2006 he became the Director of the Borlas Consulting Group Technical Support Centre (upon the merger of IBS and Borlas Group in 2007 – the Director of the IBS Borlas Technical Support Centre).
