September 22, 2008. IBS IT Services, the member company of IBS Group Holding Limited, marks one year of launching the first Master's Degree programmes of professional training geared to the needs of the IT market at Russia’s best higher education institutions.
Four IBS departments were launched at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) exactly one year ago and were transformed into the corporate department of information business systems at the Institute on July 14, 2008. The first Master’s Degree students were 42 graduates from Russia’s top higher education institutions specialised in technology and engineering.
IBS education curricula are developed and implemented by IBS Academy, an entity set up specifically for the purpose. The Academy staff and MIPT have developed an unparalleled curriculum designed to train Master’s Degree students in three areas of specialisation that are new to the Russian higher education system: the system architect, the system analyst, and IT consultant on enterprise management. The curricula are based on the industrial professional standards, which were developed with contributions from IT market players.
Over the year the IBS Academy has substantially expanded its operations. Now training under the Master’s Degree programmes is provided at two higher education institutions – Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys – and spans four areas of IT specialisation, which include business applications implementation consultant from this year.
In academic year 2008 the number of students enrolled in the first year of the IBS Master’s Degree Programme rose to 85. To a large extent, this education project is popular because those fundamentally new areas of specialisations are in demand in the IT market but are not currently offered by any Russian higher education institution and also because students receive both theoretical knowledge and hands-on project experience in IT and consulting.

So they are not going to have any problems adapting to the company after they finish their Master’s Degree studies.”
