Expertek IBS Automated Lotte Duty Free

April 4, 2008. Expertek IBS has completed a complex automation project for Lotte Duty Free shops based on IBS Trade House, the Company’s proprietary product. The project involved two Lotte Duty Free shops at the new international terminal of Sheremetievo-1, as well as their office and warehouse facilities.

Expertek IBS built a required IT infrastructure including cabling design and supplied CISCO switching equipment. Lotte Duty Free shops, office and warehouse are now connected by way of a local network with desktop Internet access.

The duty free shops were automated based on IBS Trade House 15.0, a special-purpose solution to control physical distribution of goods, and IBM’s POS-terminals that were equipped with UniFo 4.0 software by IBS. The system spans 16 workstations including five POS-terminals.

Also, as part of this project Expertek IBS installed video surveillance system at the office, trading floors and warehouse facilities.

The project was completed in four months.

The project was implemented in furtherance of cooperation between Expertek IBS and Lotte. The previous stage saw project implementation at Lotte Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Centre.
