December 04, 2006. IBS, the leader in the Russian IT and consulting services market, declares starting the project of setting up an IT education center for TUSUR. The commissioner is the State higher school of vocational training designated as Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR).
The IT audit implies that IBS is going to examine the currently installed information systems of the University, check its IT infrastructure and server/client equipment.
The project underway has the following objectives:

safeguarding investment in IT assets, along with use of the University-specific approaches perfectly matching its objectives;

collecting data on the University IT facilities current level of development, checking for availability of specific internal regulations and methodology essential for informational technologies;

revealing the areas that are fully or partially lacking automation, and determining the range of functions to be automated in the first place;

determining the range of redundant functions that are double performed by multiple information systems;
-
decreasing potential risk associated with usage of the currently installed information systems;
-
drawing up guidelines on development of the University's information technologies.
The project activities should be accomplished before the year 2006 expires.
