IBS came to Asian markets. The Company entered into the Agreement with the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Mongolia for development of software for the state realty registration system. IBS started a new project: http://www.b2b.ibs.ru/-the information and analytical web magazine B2B (in Russian), a new Russian Internet resource focusing on the electronic business market and intended for consolidation of the market information. IBS held a joint seminar with the Airplane Engine Builders Association entitled Information Technologies in the Industrial Management for the industry’s enterprises. IBS participated in the Conference held by the Association of Russian Banks and the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation entitled Data Storages and OLAP Technologies for Modern Banks.

IBS successfully finished the project for implementation of the Unified accounting system for Kuzbassenergo in the framework of which the methods and requirements were specified and schedules for development and management of accounting references were developed. Also, accounting workflow and representation mode of the data being consolidated were formalized and consolidation schedules were defined. IBS signed a contract with the SamaraTelecom Company, a leading provider of telecommunication services and solutions in Samara region, and started developing the SDH network in Samara city. IBS started implementation of the Project for design of key indicator system for performance monitoring of the state unitary enterprises and the center of modeling and analysis within the project of its development for Baikonur administration. IBS, in partnership with IBM, held a seminar for banks entitled Information Technologies for Banking Business at which advanced IT and banking application practices were discussed (analytical systems, CRM, Internet portals etc.) IBS successfully passed external auditing of its quality control system the main result of which was that the IBS Company’s quality control system was confirmed to be in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:1994, EN ISO 9001:1994, BS EN ISO 9001:1994 and GOST R ISO 9001:1996 Standards. (ISO 9001:1994 Conformity certificate was issued to IBS by LRQA in March 2000.) IBS participated in the business seminar held by the Expert advertising agency and entitled Information Technologies for Oil and Gas Industry: Management Consulting and System Integration.

IBS was the second in the Expert advertising agency’s list of leading consulting companies in Russia. IBS and the Navision Company, the world’s leading provider of integrated business solutions for medium-size companies, entered into the partnership agreement. According to the agreement, IBS was appointed to be a Navision Solution Center of the Navision Company. IBS also announced its plans related to operation in the market of the ERP systems for medium-size companies. IBS, jointly with the Expert magazine, held a seminar within the series called Budgeting and Management Accounting Systems: Principles and Practice of Development. It was the first one in the broader series dedicated to financial and management consulting and entitled The Top Technologies of Success. This was aimed at the full range of management problem solving for the Russian companies, from the budgeting development to the non-financial capital management. IBS entered into the cooperation agreement with the ProInvest Company in order to unify the effort in developing and implementing of measures intended for development and efficient use of the companies’ potentials. These measures were also intended to contribute to establishment of general principles for the coherent policy in rendering of the consulting services. IBS participated in the international conference called Strategies of Success in the Russian Internet Industry and held by the Adam Smith Institute in St. Petersburg. The Company presented the strategy of implementing Internet technologies in Russian enterprises. IBS participated in the international conference Russia on the Way to a New Economy: Business and Internet where it contributed to discussion on the use of Internet solutions for companies. IBS participated in the conference Internet Technologies for Your Business held with the assistance of the Kommersant Publishing House. At that conference IBS presented requirements for successful implementation of Internet solutions by enterprises.

IBS participated in Russia’s largest exhibition of telecommunication equipment and communication services Svyazexpocom-2001. At its stand, a number of solutions was presented for communication companies, which covered the full range of their activities. IBS officially announced opening of the representative office and rapid development of its activity in Ukraine. The Company completed the first stage construction of the information services monitoring system for the Vympelcom Company, Russia’s first company that has been developing the information system according to the Service Level Management principles. IBS participated in arrangement of the conference for the Mezhregiongaz, Regiongazinform and regional gas companies at which issues related to development of a single information medium for gas selling companies were discussed. IBS participated in the 5th Congress of Russian Metallurgists at which it announced a strategic alliance with the Association of Russian Metallurgists and start of a joint project for the establishment of a Data Processing Center. IBS and the Expand Networks Company, supplier of unique solutions for corporate traffic caching and data channel capacity optimization, announced signing a partnership agreement to enhance application of the patented Enterprise Caching technology implemented in the Expand Networks ACCELERATOR devices within the comprehensive IBS integration projects. IBS entered into a partnership agreement with the Intercertifica Company, one of leading training and development centers in quality management. The companies plan cooperating in implementation and development of quality management system at Russian and CIS enterprises and assistance for certification in TUV CERT, Germany, for conformity to the ISO 9000:2000 International Standards. IBS and Symantec, the world’s renowned leader in information security, started cooperation at a new level due to merger of Symantec and AXENT and coming of Symantec products to the Russian market. IBS was Russia’s first company to sign an agreement with the Navision Company, the world’s leading supplier of integrated business solutions for medium-size companies, on licensing and distribution of products of Siebel Systems Inc., worldwide developer and supplier of CRM solutions.

IBS and the Cable&Wireless worldwide telecommunication group announced starting provision of integrated ASP (Application Service Providing) services to Russian and foreign companies within the joint DATA FORT Project. IBS participated in the First International Forum World of Trade. At its stand, the Company presented the full scope of IT solutions for trade enterprises and won the section System Integration in Refilling Station Management. IBS, jointly with the Aton Investment Group and the Expert Magazine, held the conference called Mergers and Takeovers: Investment and Management. The conference was devoted to preparation and accomplishment of mergers and takeovers, merger issues after the agreement being signed, financial and legal aspects as well as management of mergers and takeovers. IBS completed the first phase of the establishment of the Corporate Accounting system for Vympelcom Company. The Project should have been completed in August 2001. IBS signed a partnership agreement with Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq: VIGN), the world’s largest developer of Internet software solutions and thus became able to use the entire scope of Vignette’s solutions in its Projects. IBS held the second seminar of the Top Technologies of Success series entitled Management Technology Based On Key Performance Indicators (KPI) whose participants were acquainted with the concepts of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Balance Score Card (BSC) management. IBS announced finishing and commissioning the Project for the NorilskGasprom corporate telephone network. IBS participated in the International Forum called Russia in the Electronic World aimed at development of proposals for the promotion of an information community in Russia. The Forum was organized and held with the direct assistance of the RF Ministries of Economic Development and Trade, Communication and Informatization as well as Industry, Science and Technologies. IBS participated in the Internet-Business-Metal exhibition held by the Moscow State Steel and Alloys Institute in cooperation with the Intellectual Resources and Algorithm Group Companies and the Moscow State Steel and Alloys Institute Graduates Association. The IBS’ stand presented Internet solutions for the metallurgical industry. IBS participated in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, which is held annually by the Council of Federation under the Aegis of the President of the Russian Federation. The IBS stand and the round-table discussions within the Forum presented Internet solutions that allow increasing the efficiency of state bodies and private companies.

IBS successfully completed the Project for development of the state real property registration system for the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Mongolia. IBS and the official CIS distributor of Documentum, Documentum Services Company, held a joint seminar called Knowledge, Workflow and Business Processes Management Based on Documentum Technologies. The participants included more than 70 managers and IT specialists of large state bodies and private companies. IBS, jointly with the Cable & Wireless worldwide telecommunication group and the KPMG international consulting company held the iTEA AT 5 O'CLOCK Seminar for international and Russian companies at the British Embassy where they presented the innovative and actually working electronic business models for the business community. The seminar was organized with the support from the European Business Club. IBS participated in the First Scientific and Practical Conference of Russian Internet Providers. The Company’s representatives presented the report entitled Corporate Integration Systems: New Approach to IT Strategy Implementation at the conference held by the Samara-Internet Information and Analytical Center. IBS participated in the Seminar called Information Resources of Moscow held due to the support from the Moscow Government. At the Seminar, the Company’s Corporate Internet technology Department officers presented reports entitled 1) Internet technologies (portals): Increasing the Efficiency of Investments in Information Technologies and 2) Internet Solutions as a Powerful Tool for the Fulfillment of City Government Orders. IBS participated in the meeting of Navision partners where it contributed to discussion of issues related to marketing interaction for the promotion of Navision products in Russia.

IBS, jointly with the IBM Eastern Europe/Asia and Symantec’s Russian Representative Office, held a seminar devoted to development and use of information security management solutions based on the Tivoli SecureWay technologies and Symantec products. IBS, jointly with the Russian Metallurgists Association, announced starting establishment of the RMA-IBS Internet Center. IBS and Microsoft, the world’s renowned software and Internet technology leader, entered into an agreement on provision of Internet access services for Microsoft’s applications (the Microsoft Application Service Agreement). IBS, the Russian system integration and consulting leader, completed the Project for creation of the unified accounting system for Kuzbasenergo branches. This Project was the first stage in development of Kuzbasenergo corporate information system. IBS successfully completed the first stage of the Project for automation of the Gastronom Ekonom network of foodstores of the Planeta Management Service Company with a central office and a remote warehouse. IBS completed the first stage of the project for implementation of the R/3 System of SAP AG Company. Thus, IBS became Russia’s first system integrator company that implemented the R/3 System without external consulting. DATA FORT is joint project of IBS system integrator and the Cable&Wireless Worldwide Telecommunication Group. As A new service, rental of a trade area based on the RightWorks eMarketplace (TradeMatrix) Platform was announced. IBS completed the project for development of the financial management system of the Baikonur facility administration.
September
IBS successfully completed the project for automation of Tommy Hilfiger’s first boutique in Russia. IBS and Corus Consulting, an official distributor of Comshare Inc., a leading budgeting, financial planning and management analysis software supplier, signed a Partnership Memorandum. For the first time in Russia, DATA FORT, a joint project of IBS and the Cable&Wireless, demonstrated remote access application of the Navision Attain localized system within the framework of the Conference called Navision Attain Platform. IBS and Symantec, the world’s leader in information security, entered into a new partnership agreement according to which IBS became Russia’s first company to be the Enterprise Solution Partner. Today, it is the highest Symantec partnership status in Eastern Europe. IBS announced testing ENTRUST TECHNOLOGIES software products for implementation of open key infrastructures in corporate information security systems.
October
IBS and the Cable&Wireless worldwide telecommunication group announced starting of provision of integrated ASP (Application Service Providing) based services to Russian and foreign companies within the joint DATA FORT Project. IBS became Russia’s first consulting partner of Siebel Systems and announced starting promotion of Siebel solutions to the Russian market. IBS started the testing program of its solutions for creation of corporate information systems based on the IBM p680 Platform, which meant a new stage in development of the Russian IT market. IBS started implementation of the R/3 System in the Sirena MTK Company.
November
IBS and Diasoft+ProgramBank, developer of the New Athens banking management information system, entered into an agreement for partnership on the Russian market of banking automation systems. Belsvyaz Company, jointly with IBS, creates the unified telecommunication system in Belgorod region. IBS, within the DATA FORT Project, and Rinet Company entered into an agreement allowing Rinet to extensively promote and offer leasing services related to applications and infrastructure (ASP, Application Service Provision) in the Western Siberian region. IBS and the HBS Company, distributor of Hummingbird, the Canadian company, in Russia, CIS and Baltic States, announced entering into a partnership agreement. IBS and the Microinform Training Center signed an agreement for cooperation in information security. This was a logical consequence and expansion of the longstanding cooperation between the company and the Training Center in other directions. IBS concluded an agreement with Irkutskenergo Company for development of the concept of Corporate Information System for the power supply company.

IBS completed the first stage of the project for implementation of a Navision Attain integrated management system in the USA-Russia Investment Fund. IBS completed the first stage of implementation of the integrated security system for the SUN Interbrew Company. Klin Brewery was the first site where IBS’ specialists implemented the system. IBS Company, the Russian leader in system integration and consulting, completed the project for implementation of the corporate information and accounting system for Megafon Company in Moscow region. The Project Customer was Sonic Duo Company, which is the operator of the Megafon all-Russian mobile network in Moscow region. IBS participated in the round-table discussion held by the Izvestiya newspaper and the Rakurs-PR Public Communications Agency for development of the Russian consulting market. |
